Make your bankruptcy process smoother

The process of filing for bankruptcy is challenging, but it is my goal to make it as smooth and stress-free as possible. To ensure your process can get started and can move forward quickly, be sure to gather the following documents before coming in. These are essential in providing me with the information I need to guide you through your filing.

Get started right away by having the following documents ready:

• Proof of gross income for most recent 6 months (from all sources, such as pay stubs , child  support, social security, unemployment, pension, or other sources)

• Federal income tax returns for the last 4 filed years

  If you are unable to locate the required tax returns, you may contact the IRS directly at

   800-829-1040 and request a free transcript of your income tax returns.

• List of all creditors

  You may be eligible for a free credit report from www.annualcreditreport.com .

• Certificate of Credit Counseling from an approved agency

  This must be completed before we can file your bankruptcy. Please email certificates to   

   flandgrebe@verizon.net .

• DSO recipient name and address of recipient and, if applicable, Child Support Order, Divorce Decree, Property Settlement Agreement and/or Alimony Order or QUADRO, etc.

• Auto loan statements showing principal balances

• Last 6 months bank statements from ALL bank accounts your name is on

• Written value of all retirement accounts, stocks, bonds, etc.

• Written cash surrender value of whole life insurance policies

• Lawsuit information from any suit, either for or against you

• Copies of furniture loans, pool loans, siding loans, etc.

Additionally, if you have a house:

• Realtor’s Opinion Letter stating the value of your home

• Court file-stamped copy of your deed

• Mortgage statements showing principal balances
